Our Story

La Gioiosa represents the tradition of winemaking that the Moretti Polegato family has been carrying out for generations and it is in perfect symbiosis with the land of Prosecco and the Montello and Piave wines.

Its name pays tribute to the old definition of the province of Treviso, “Marca gioiosa et amorosa”  (Joyous and Amorous March) underlining the sociable lifestyle of its inhabitants.

La Gioiosa is a name that is immediately associated with the typical wines of the Treviso area and it represents a modern and innovative company.

 

Our Philosophy

A long tradition and an extraordinary attitude toward innovation and research have always characterized La Gioiosa. The desire to produce wines according to an innovative protocol aimed at high quality throughout the production cycle, from the vineyard to the bottle, according to sustainable practices, has led over time to support projects such as the Wine Research Team and the certification Biodiversity Friend.

 

Sustainability

In 2017, we launched the La Gioiosa for Life project, our company’s commitment to the environment.

We employ practices in the vineyard and winery that have minimum impact on the ecosystem around them and beyond, including using hydropower from the Brentella Canal that runs through our estate and generates 20% of our electrical requirement.

 

Veneto, Land of Prosecco

La Gioiosa Prosecco DOC comes from the official Prosecco region of Italy: Veneto, located between the beautiful Dolomites and the unique Venice. The perfect spot that allows Prosecco to have the ideal climate conditions to grow and produce the native grape of Glera.

The hillside vineyards are ideal for the production of fresh, fruit-driven Prosecco, today the world’s most popular bubbly.
